Financial Aid Information
St. George's University offers financial aid counseling to help meet the diverse needs of our student population.
The University's comprehensive outreach to governments and private lending institutions combined with the University's own financial resources, have created a unique offering of loans and other financing options for our students worldwide.
St. George's University is approved by the Canadian Ministry of Education, entitling most students to the ability to receive Canadian and/or Provincial Loans. To supplement the financing of their education, students usually apply for a professional line of credit available through the banks in Canada.
At this time, only residents of Alberta and Ontario are eligible for provincial funding. These students must be enrolled in either the 7 year Preclinical or Prevet program. Students in Post Baccalaureate or Foundations programs are ineligible for funding from the Canadian Government until promoted and matriculated into the MD or DVM program.
If you are from a province other than Alberta or Ontario, please contact the Office of Financial Aid so that we may be able to work with you to find possible funding options.
It is important to confirm with both your province as well as the Office of Financial Aid to ensure you are in a program that is eligible for provincial funding.
